ബെംഗളൂരു : “വേള്‍ഡ് ഡിസൈന്‍ ക്യാപ്പിറ്റല്‍ 2022” മത്സരത്തില്‍ അവസാന പട്ടികയില്‍ ബെംഗളൂരുവും സ്ഥാനമുറപ്പിച്ചു.
ഡബ്ലു.ഡി.സി പുറത്തുവിട്ട പട്ടികയില്‍ ബെംഗളൂരുവിനോടൊപ്പം സ്പെയിനിലെ വലന്‍സിയയും ഇടം പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.രാജ്യാന്തര തലത്തില്‍ ഉള്ള വിദഗ്ധന്‍ മാര്‍ അടങ്ങുന്ന ഒരു സമിതിയാണ് അന്തിമ പട്ടിക പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്.
നേരത്തെ അസോസിയേഷന്‍ ഓഫ് ഡിസൈന്‍ ഇന്ത്യ ചാപ്റ്റര്‍ ബെംഗളൂരുവിനെ നാമനിര്‍ദേശം ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള മറ്റു നഗരങ്ങളെ ഒന്നും പരിഗണിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല.ഗതാഗതം ,മാലിന്യ നിര്‍മാര്‍ജനം തുടങ്ങിയ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ആണ് പരിശോധിച്ചത്.
“Both these cities, have very different design histories and urban challenges yet both are inspiring cases that reflect the impact of design on the wellbeing of their communities,” stated Luisa Bocchietto, WDO President and member of the WDC Selection Committee. “For WDO, the merit of the WDC programme is that it aims to leverage a city’s particular design narrative, as well as promotes the diversity of design practices worldwide.”
